This privacy policy applies to the PDF Suite: Scan, Edit & Merge application (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices, developed by Than Dana. Our Service is designed to be a premium, secure, and high-performance document management ecosystem.
1. On-Device Processing & Data Privacy
Security is our core priority. PDF Suite is built with an "Offline-First" philosophy. Most core operations—including PDF merging, splitting, compression, and image-to-PDF conversion—are performed locally on your device.
Your documents, signatures, and personal files are never transmitted to our servers for processing. Your data remains under your exclusive control unless you explicitly choose to export it or sync it to your own cloud accounts.
2. Advanced Features & AI
- GenAI PDF Assistant: When using the AI Assistant, only the extracted text from your selected document is sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. This data is used solely to generate your response and is not stored or used to train models by PDF Suite.
- OCR Scanner: Text recognition is performed on-device using Google ML Kit. Images captured during scanning are processed in real-time and are not saved unless you choose to create a PDF.
3. App Permissions
To provide professional-grade functionality, the Application requires the following permissions:
- Camera: Used strictly for the "Scan to PDF" and "OCR" features.
- Storage / Media: Required to select images for conversion, manage your PDF library, and save generated documents to your device.
- Biometrics (FaceID/Fingerprint): Used only to unlock the app if you enable the "App Lock" security feature. We never see or store your actual biometric data; we only receive a success/fail confirmation from your operating system.
4. Third-Party Services
We utilize industry-standard services to improve app stability and provide our service:
- Firebase (Google): We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to collect anonymous usage data (e.g., which features are popular) and technical crash reports. This helps us fix bugs and improve the experience. Firebase Privacy Policy.
- Google AdMob: Used to serve advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers to show relevant ads to you. Google Privacy Policy.
- Cloud Providers (Optional): If you connect Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud, the app accesses your account strictly to upload/download files you select. Your login credentials are handled securely by the respective providers and are never seen by us.
5. Data Control & Deletion
You have full autonomy over your data. You can clear your file history or delete all generated PDFs within the App Settings at any time. Uninstalling the app will permanently remove all local data associated with PDF Suite from your device.
6. Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us immediately.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Modified" date at the bottom of this page and within the app.
